Our 10 year old daughter, Molly, is an avid reader and is relishing the opportunity to read some advance copies this year. Each month on our blog we will feature her picks for the month.

Carol is spending 2 months with her grandpa Serge at his ranch. It has not rained for a hundred years and her grandpa thinks the bees will bring the rain. He tells Carol stories about when he was young and what started the drought. This is a great story about families and the love between a grandpa and his granddaughter.

She calls the baby Bugrat and feeds him squished worms. Join Margrit and Bugrat in a beautiful adventure of friendship. I loved this book and if you like Neil Gaiman and Derek Landy you are surely going to love this!

Darkus lives with his Uncle Max after his father mysteriously disappears. At school a nasty bully named Robby teases him where he meets Bertolt and Virginia his friends but that is not all a horrible lady called Lucretia Cutter how wants Baxter Darkus’s beetle!!! This book is really good I loved it.
